Without an enthusiastic team of highly skilled dancers and choreographers, Get Moving offers opportunities to schools, youth groups and young dancers to take part in youth dance activities.
Get Moving runs a North Yorkshire County Youth Dance Company of up to 30 young dancers aged 14 – 19 years. The NYCYDC tours to schools each year and they perform in regional and national showcases and events. In 2008, they represented the region at the National Youth Dance Festival in London, having been selected from Regional heats. In September 2008, a newly formed Junior company began, with members aged 12 – 14 years. There are currently 10 places in the junior company for exceptional young dancers.
